Japan Night in Tourism Expo Japan 2015
On September 25, 2015, Japan Night was held as the reception. International tourism industry representatives were invited to Gyoko-Dori Street as the venue. Choreographed to allow the participants to experience the unique culture, this event showcased Japan as a tourism-oriented nation and served as an opportunity to build friendly relationships. At the climax of the event, a large Aomori Nebuta float appeared and proceeded along the street, with the loud sounds of taiko drums and voices of Haneto dancers echoing through the business district. Traditional performances including classical Japanese dance, enjoyed by visitors. In addition, food and drinks were available from booths set up along Gyoko-Dori Street and Marunouchi Naka-Dori Street. This permitted the participants to experience traditional cultures, Japanese performing arts, of suburban cities of Japan while in the cutting-edge urban space of Marunouchi. This urban-style MICE event with elements of both metropolitan and local as well as old and new elements.
