IHRA Forum 2025 Tokyo

The IHRA Forum 2025 Tokyo took place from 22–25 October 2025, with the TAKANAWA GATEWAY Convention Center serving as the main venue. The event brought together around 300 participants from 13 countries, including Japan. Attendees included government and parliamentary officials involved in high‑speed rail planning, executives from high‑speed rail operators, rail industry experts, and representatives from both the public and private sectors in Japan, among them former Prime Minister Ishiba.
A welcome reception was held at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa, followed by a main reception at Happo‑en. On the day after the main conference, participants joined a technical visit that included a tour of TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, which opened in March 2025.
Overall, the forum highlighted the significant potential of the rapidly developing Takanawa/Shinagawa area and its growing role as a hub for international collaboration.

MATSURI JAPAN 2025 IN TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY Produced by HAPPO-EN

MATSURI JAPAN 2025 took place from 28–29 June 2025 at the TAKANAWA GATEWAY Convention Center and welcomed a total of approximately 2,300 visitors over the two days.
The event’s theme, “Festivals of Japan: A Journey through the Five Senses,” brought together performers from festivals across the country, including Hokkaido’s Yosakoi Soran, Nagasaki’s Dragon Dance, and Tokyo’s Koenji Awa Odori. Their dynamic performances energized the venue, culminating in a Takanawa District Bon Odori finale in which visitors were invited to join the dance.
Chefs from Happo-en served original dishes and exclusive regional drinks, encouraging exchange through Japan’s diverse food culture. The event also generated excitement with its blend of tradition and modern innovation, featuring classic festival stalls alongside robot servers.

Conference

Leaders Conference, organized by European Organization Group

In May 2023, a historical conference, where security affairs are discussed, was held in Tokyo for the first time.
Leaders and experts from European countries, the United States, Japan, India, Korea, Philippines and Maldives joined and had discussions on peace and safety of international society.
A cocktail reception was also held at the traditional sukiya-style venue, Happo-kan, on the second day of the conference.

Meeting

2017 Global Summit of Women

In May 2017, the Global Summit of Women, aimed at supporting female entrepreneurs, was held at Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa. The Summit, an all-woman event, is organized each year in a different country. The 2017 event, hosted in Japan, brought together 500 women from foreign companies for four days of lectures and social gatherings. On the final day, an entire floor of Happo-en was reserved for a party to match up entrepreneurs, and 1,500 participants created valuable business opportunities.
The spacious Japanese gardens of Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa and Happo-en also provided event participants with an excellent opportunity to experience rich Japanese culture.

Presidents Forum

Roughly 500 CEOs and other executives from foreign companies gathered for this strategy forum in Happo-en. Breakout meetings were also held at other sites in the Takanawa/Shinagawa area.
Following the conference was a gala dinner in The Prince Park Tower Tokyo, which provided participants with a taste of Japanese culture. The dinner's theme was "Japanese Festivals," and attendees buzzed with excitement, enjoying the experience of a Japanese festival through Japanese cuisine, taiko drumming, and a Bon dance around a beautiful tower made by skilled furniture craftsmen.
