Welcome for educational trip

In August 2017, TCVB organized to educational trip for Meeting Planners (MPs) from Asia. Through inspections of hotels, a visit to Fuji Television Network, Inc., Tokyo’s environment work, unique venues, and cultural experiences. TCVB showcased the Tokyo waterfront area’s appeal to the MPs as a new suggested venue for MICE. This tour was also a trial that served as a foothold for establishing a MICE resort in Tokyo. The community of walterfront is welcome to inspection group to introduce full of tresure of MICE contents.

Meeting / Incentive

The 29th International Cartographic Conference (ICC2019)

From July 15th to 20th, an international conference sponsored by the International Cartographic Association, the sole academic society in the cartographic field, was held at venues such as National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (“Miraikan”), Tokyo International Exchange Center, and Telecom Center, bringing together cartography experts and researchers from countries throughout the world. In addition, an International Map Exhibition of 386 ordinary maps, marine charts, and atlases was held along with a Children’s Map Exhibition displaying 188 maps drawn by children around the world. The event was participated in by a broad spectrum of visitors, from map experts to ordinary Japanese citizens who are fond of maps.

Trade fair/international conference / event at Tokyo Big Sight

The Waterfront area is home to one of the largest exhibition centers in Japan. More than 300 events are held there per year, and over 1.5 million people are attending from aroud the world. Those events include not only B2B trade fairs such as the Tokyo Motor Show, which draws 770,000 visitors, Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF), International Robot Exhibition, and International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition, but also a large number of B2C fairs such as COMIC ART and Tourism Expo.
