Welcome for educational trip

Meeting Incentive

In August 2017, TCVB organized to educational trip for Meeting Planners (MPs) from Asia. Through inspections of hotels, a visit to Fuji Television Network, Inc., Tokyo's environment work, unique venues, and cultural experiences. TCVB showcased the Tokyo waterfront area's appeal to the MPs as a new suggested venue for MICE. This tour was also a trial that served as a foothold for establishing a MICE resort in Tokyo. The community of walterfront is welcome to inspection group to introduce full of tresure of MICE contents.

Science Centre World Summit 2017 (SCWS2017)

From November 15 to 17, Science Centre World Summit 2017 (SCWS2017) was held for the first time in Asia at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation.
Science Centre World Summit (SCWS) is an international conference of science center networks and their partners held every three years.
The cooperation with industry, academia and government is essential to overcome diverse global issues and to build a prosperous future. At SCWS2017, people from a wide range of fields, including scientists and educators as well as policymakers, people from international organizations, various industries and representatives of civilian life discussed the new roles to be filled in society by science. They built a new cooperation framework aimed at implementing specific science programes.

Exhibition

The Waterfront area is home to one of the largest exhibition centers in Japan. More than 300 events are held there per year, and over 1.5 million people are attending from aroud the world. Those events include not only B2B trade fairs such as the Tokyo Motor Show, which draws 770,000 visitors, Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF), International Robot Exhibition, and International Home Care & Rehabilitation Exhibition, but also a large number of B2C fairs such as COMIC ART and Tourism Expo.
